Dr. Mary Large is a licensed psychologist and clinical neuropsychologist who obtained her undergraduate degree from UCLA, her Ph.D. from California School of Professional Psychology, and completed a two-year, post-doctoral intensive training program in clinical neuropsychology. For the last 25 years, the primary focus of Dr. Large's private practice is providing neuropsychological, developmental, and forensic evaluations, with an emphasis on pediatrics. Dr. Large has expertise in evaluating autism spectrum disorders, attentional deficits, learning disabilities, executive functioning deficits, language disorders, and complex behavioral and emotional challenges. Additional areas of expertise include evaluation of acquired brain/head injuries, effects of prenatal exposure to alcohol and/or drugs, hypoxia, extreme prematurity and/or very low birth weight, and the neuropsychological impairments that may arise secondary to medical conditions such as seizure disorders, cerebral palsy, and similar conditions. Dr. Large has served as an expert witness in Regional Center and school district mediation and hearing procedures, as well as in civil and criminal court cases. She also provides therapeutic treatment to adults, as well as parent consultation.
