Tracy Bennett, Ph.D.

Dr. Bennett has been in private practice for over 21 years and sees children, adolescents, and adults. She is a highly engaged, dynamic psychologist who understands that a trusting therapeutic partnership is essential for meaningful progress. She honors each client's preferences and needs when determining treatment technique and pace. Clients report an appreciation for learning coping and cognitive-behavioral skills for immediate relief, as well as for developing a safe, creative environment for achieving understanding and insight. Areas of specialty include behavioral issues with children and teens, including AD/HD, anxiety and mood disorders, oppositional-defiance, Asperger's disorder, and divorce and blended-family challenges. She has a particular sensitivity to the academic and social challenges of different developmental periods.
Adult issues emphasized include anxiety and mood disorders, grief, relationship challenges, parenting, and issues related to trauma. Dr. Bennett enjoys a diverse practice and also teaches at California State University Channel Islands.
