Membership Plans
The VCPA membership year runs from January 1st to December 31st. Members may renew their membership as early as September 1st, when our membership drive for the coming year begins. If joining VCPA on or after September 1st, membership will remain active through December 31st of the following year.
Full Member
Requires a Doctorate in psychology, or license as a psychologist in the State of California, or Diplomate of the American Board of Professional Psychology. The membership year runs from January 1st to December 31st.

Associate Member
Requires a master's degree in psychology or equivalent (such as MFT, LCSW, LPCC). The membership year runs from January 1st to December 31st.
Price: $100.00
Affiliate Member
Affiliate membership is for individuals with an interest in psychology and mental health, such as certified paraprofessionals but who are not licensed therapists or psychologists. The membership year runs from January 1st to December 31st.

Retired/Not Active
For members not currently providing psychological services, whether retired or pausing for other reasons, who wish to continue participation in VCPA. Retired members may or may not hold an active license.
The membership year runs from January 1st to December 31st.

Early Career Psychologists
This level is for psychologists who have become licensed in the last three years.
The membership year runs from January 1st to December 31st.
Price: $65.00
Graduate Student / Pre-Licensed Member (First time member only)
We offer free first year memberships to graduate students and pre-licensed members. This applies to anyone who is working towards their doctorate in psychology or has earned their doctorate, but not yet their license. This option only applies to your first year of membership.
Price: $30.00
This level is for currently enrolled graduate students in psychology or a psychology-related field, registered psychological associates, and other pre-licensed trainees. The membership year runs from January 1st to December 31st. This option is for those who have already used their first free year.
